These vessels are made from heavy wall, inert borosilicate glass with a PVC safety coating. Each vessel is graduated with a millimeter reference scale. These pressure reaction vessels are sometimes referred to as “Fisher and Porter Bottles”. They are ideal for viewing reactions of mixed compounds and viewing temperature and pressure changes to liquids or gasses. Typical applications include hydrolysis, hydrogenation, polymerization, catalysis and isomerization. Other uses include corrosion studies, solubility studies and spray and pressure characteristics of compounds. All reaction vessels are pressure tested to 2x their pressure rating.
