This unique bench top device allows you to completely unfold the double locking seam without cutting ripping the can. It is ideal for stability testing. After the top and bottom are removed, the seam crevice can be inspected. In addition since the method is non-destructive it does not contact the areas of corrision. The areas that can be inspected are valve assembly, vapor phase crevices, vapor phase corrosion, interfacial corrosion, liquid phase corrosion, weld and weld crevice corrosion can all be examined visually. It works as well on necked-in cans as straight wall cans. It is powered by a 10 ton Enerpac System (pneumatic powered hydrualics). Effortless to operate. Very operator friendly. Straight wall cans require 1 set of dies. Necked-in cans require 2 sets of dies. * Sample cans are required for sizing dies needed.
