The model 5000-V is fully equipped with pneumatic controls. It is designed to crimp and pull vacuum up to 28 in hg. It requires 125 psi air supply. This crimper is virtually effortless to operate. With only a light touch of a lever you can crimp 12 to 15 cans a minute. This unit is calibrated in our testing lab to give a crimp diameter of 1.070 and crimp height of .185 It has an adjustable plunger which permits the crimp diameter to be increased or decreased. The crimp height is fixed. Cut gasket valves requiring more crimp depth can be accomplished with an additional nosepiece. Because of the unique design of this crimper the energy of the vacuum itself does the work of tens of parts in other vacuum crimpers. Depending on the can dome size or lack of you may need an additional nosepiece. Change over takes only a minute. It is very operator friendly. A dab of high pressure grease applied to the inside of the collet is the only maintence required. It requires a vacuum supply of 18 CFM. * Samples of cans to be crimped are required to determine what nosepiece is needed. *Available with foot pedal if requested, at no extra charge.
